Privacy in Sjakki

What we store

• Guest account: Until you sign in you have an anonymous account with a random ID. It contains no personal information.
• Signed-in account: If you sign in with Apple or Google we store your email address and its link to your progress. We never ask for your name.
• Game data: Your games, solved puzzles, XP, streak and settings.
• chess.com connection: If you choose to connect a chess.com username we fetch public game history to show statistics. Only the username is stored.
• Usage events: Simple events (like «puzzle solved») tied to your account, used to improve Sjakki. No third-party ad tracking.
• Usage analytics in the iOS app: The app uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how sessions flow (screens, taps, performance). The data is not linked to your identity and is never used for advertising.

Where it is stored

All data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Stockholm). Chat in live games consists only of preset phrases; free text does not exist and messages are not stored.

Children and safety

Profiles cannot be searched. Guest mode requires no information. We never send notifications in the evening.

Deletion

Delete your account in the iOS app (Me, Delete my account) or on sjakki.no (Account). Deletion has a 30 day grace period, after which your games are anonymised so opponents keep their history.
